2024 MOLN Caring, Curiosity and Courage: The Work that Reconnects

Thursday, September 19, 2024 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (CDT)

Description

"Caring, Curiosity and Courage: The Work That Reconnects"

In this introductory webinar, you will be introduced to the Spiral Journey of the Work That Reconnects. The Spiral provides a framework for cultivating gratitude, compassion, curiosity and courage, transmuting overwhelming and difficult feelings related to disturbing events occurring in our workplaces, communities and on our planet, into inspired, individual and collaborative action. Together, we will journey through the 4 movements of the Spiral: Coming from Gratitude, Honoring Our Pain, Seeing with New Eyes and Going Forth. As we finish our time together, participants will be supported in reflecting on what emerged through our shared experience and what will be most helpful for each of us moving forward.

Objectives

•Examine how gratitude serves as the foundation, and a stronger starting point, from which to face disturbing events in our workplace, communities and in the world.

•Acknowledge the importance of compassionately honoring our pain as a reflection of our deep caring for each other, those we serve and the world around us.

•Explore how inviting in curiosity can empower us to make a difference by creating space to see in new and unimagined ways.

•Identify steps we can take, individually and collectively, to courageously support and act upon the positive changes we desire.
